This wasn’t a strong movie even though this is movie 2 of 13. This is mean for hardcore DBZ fans.

This movie and the DBZ movie 1 most probably happen after the Dragon Ball season (and before DBZ starts). Gohan is still a kid in both these movies and has just started studying. These two movies seem like some adventures of Gohan after the first season ends. Recommended to watch since in these two movies, Goku & Picollo see Gohan's actual power start to show forth.

This movie was really good to watch! It had its flaws but it made me interested. The enemies were hard to defeat, but they weren't annoying. I'm glad about it.

It all took place in a North-Pole-like place, and inside a mysterious building. Even Bulma and Kame Sennin were present, so it gave a bit of a feeling of the original Dragon Ball.

It even reminded me a bit of the Red Ribbon sagas, which is a plus from my side.

Dragonball Z: Worlds Strongest.

Animation:
The animation of Worlds Strongest isn't that different from the regular series. The fighting scenes are better animated, more fluidity. As far as details and background, it is the same generic backgrounds as in the TV series.

Sound:
Eh, sound. Wasn't anything special, the voice acting was ok, same as the series, wasn't the worst I have ever heard, nor the best. The OP/ED I don't even remember, so that isn't saying much, same with the BGM.

Story:
The story started back with Master Roshi was the strongest fighter in the world. Dr. Wheelo and Dr. Kochin were defeated, causing Dr. Wheelo to lose his body, thanks to Dr. Kochin, he was able to transplant his brain into a computer.

Years later, Dr. Kochin reawakens Dr. Wheelo and kidnaps Roshi, Goku and the other Z warriors come to save the day.

The story is bland and doesn't progress the TV series at all, just some fighting eye candy. It takes place roughly around the time of the Saiyan Saga. Goku comes to save the day. There is the same, Goku arrives, kicks ass, Krillin gets his ass handed to him, Piccolo does something useful but not much, nobody else to help.

There is some pretty great fight scenes, or so I thought when I was 15, but even today, I still like seeing the fighting. But don't expect this to be an example of epic story writing.

As being a movie, they expect you to know something about Dragonball Z, so there is no backstory, no character development, just fighting.

Value + Enjoyment:
If I would have reviewed this when I was 15, I probably would have given it a 10, but I have matured and now know about other, far better anime. But this still ranks highly with me because it has some nostalgia values. It isn't the best movie, nor is it the worst, but I liked it.
