Comparison: CHUWI UBox, CHUWI LarkBox S and CHUWI LarkBox X
We compare three of the most popular mini PCs of the moment, such as theCHUWI UBox, CHUWI LarkBox S and CHUWI LarkBox X comparing their specifications and performance.
As we will see they are three quite different machines and this information will help us to assess that we fit more to buy depending on our needs. On the one hand, we haveCHUWI UBox with a powerfulAMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor, in the same price range is theCHUWI LarkBox S with theIntel Core i3-1220P processor and as a more economical solution we have theCHUWI LarkBox X with the popularIntel N150.
Let’s see how they stack up against each other and which one might be better for our needs.

Details and unboxing of the mini PCs
To compare them we are going to review their videos, unboxing and general specifications. With this data we can see their main features, and they are physically each one of them.
CHUWI UBox
TheCHUWI UBox surprises us with its detachable white box. Integrated in the silver, we have theAMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor manufactured in 6 nm. We havetwo SODIMM RAM DDR5, for storage we havetwo slots for SSD NVMe 4.0,Wifi 6E connectivity,USB4 connector up to 40 Gbps and up tothree video outputs. The operating system installed isWindows 11 Proand is compatible with Linux if we want.

TheAMD Ryzen 5 6600H APU features six cores and twelve threads running between 3.3 and 4.5 GHz. For the graphics section we have an AMD Radeon 660M GPU up to 1800 MHz with6 cores. This processor has a consumption of only45 W TDP and has agood performance in demanding apps, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications and 3D games without overdoing it in the quality settings.

CHUWI LarkBox S
TheCHUWI LarkBox S computer features theIntel Core i3-1220P processor, a more powerful alternative to the Intel N150 and N95 processors. This mini PC featuresdual video output,16 GB of RAM in two SODIMMs, a512 GB NVMe SSD drive and eye-catchingRGB LEDS on the front. The installed operating system isWindows 11 Pro, but it is possible to install Linux as well.
- More details in ourFull review for the CHUWI LarkBox S

In thisCHUWI LarkBox S we have theIntel Core i3-1220P (Alder Lake-P) chip manufactured in10 nm (Intel 7) that has 2 Performance cores and 8 Efficient cores that move between 3.3 – 4.4GHz. For graphics, we have anIntel UHD Graphics GPU up to 1100 MHz with64 EU. This processor has a configurable power consumption between20-64 W TDP. As we can see it is a computer withadequate performance for desktop, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications and games in 2D or little 3D.

CHUWI LarkBox X
The smallCHUWI LarkBox X is a peculiar computer with ablack and white case. Inside we find theIntel N150 (Alder Lake-N) processor manufactured in10 nm. On its board we find integrated12 GB ofDual Channel LPDDR5 RAM, fullUSB-C connector, a512 GB SATA SSD drive and we also havetriple video output. The operating system installed isWindows 11, or we can install Linux in some distribution.

In theCHUWI LarkBox Xwe have the popularIntel N150 (Alder Lake-N) chip manufactured in10 nm (Intel 7) that has four cores and four threads that moves up to 3.2 GHz. In the graphics section we have anIntel UHD Graphics GPU up to 750 MHz with24 EU (the N95 has 16 EU). This processor has a power consumption of only6 W TDP. This computer hassufficient performance for home use, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications and simple games.

Performance tests
We run several performance tests comparing the performance of these three mini PCs. We benchmark the performance of the processors and how they perform in real-world scenarios.
Geekbench
A test that gives us high values in raw power, we can see the performance of the CPU in mono core and multicore thanks to its tests. As we can see theCHUWI UBox andCHUWI LarkBox S offer similar performance, theCHUWI LarkBox X with its simpleIntel N150 is logically below.

Cinebench
This test ofcomputing power par excellence with a fairly solid continuity in terms of results, which helps us when comparing the performance of CPUs historically. In these tests as we can see theCHUWI UBox slightly outperforms theCHUWI LarkBox S, on the other hand theCHUWI LarkBox X with theIntel N150 is well below in raw power.

PCMark
This test allows us to get an idea of thepower in terms of desktop apps of this chip, performing tasks such as browsing, video editing, handling text or audio files. As we can see, the most powerful processors leave the humble Intel N150 far behind.

Games
In gaming tests, the most important thing is undoubtedly the performance of the GPU that integrates the processor. In this case, theAMD Ryzen 5 6600H offered by theCHUWI UBox is undoubtedly much more powerful than theIntel HD Graphics with64 EU that theCHUWI LarkBox S has. The AMD solution is undoubtedly better for 3D games.
On the other hand, theCHUWI LarkBox X offers a rather low performance in this aspect, it has a fairly basic Intel HD Graphics GPU with24 EU, this limits us to simple 2D and 3D games.

Conclusions
If we value the three computers separately for comparison, we can say that theCHUWI UBox with a powerfulAMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor, is undoubtedly the most strong alternative. If we want to play 3D games, it is also the most interesting alternative because of the GPU it offers. It is therefore the most expensive machine in stores and the one that takes up more space.
As for theCHUWI LarkBox S we have theIntel Core i3-1220P processor that gives us a good computational performance for apps. On the other hand, the GPU allows us to play some demanding titles, but it is inferior to the AMD solution. It stands out for its elegant case design and very compact size.
Finally, the smallCHUWI LarkBox X offers the popularIntel N150, sufficient hardware for desktop and multimedia use. If we are not interested in demanding 3D games it can be a good alternative for us. It is the smallest model of the three and the one we can get at the best price.
