Today we will test the newBeelink EQ13, aBeelink computer that we will analyze or review in detail. A mini PC withintegrated power supply as a novelty.

The compactBeelink EQ13 is presented in a small plastic box with air inlet in the lower area. Inside we find as engine theIntel N200 (Alder Lake-N) processor manufactured in10 nm, somewhat more powerful than the N100 of theBeelink EQ12. It comes by default with16 GB of DDR4 RAM, we havetwo NVMe/SATA slots and we also havetwo video outputs. The operating system installed isWindows 11, it is also compatible with Linux or other compatible distribution.

We will see in the results in this review and let’s see how it fares in this competitive sector.

TheBeelink EQ13 arrives in a simple cardboard box with an image of the product. Inside we find the small computer with its contents, manual, HDMI and DC cable.

Description of the Beelink EQ13

The smallBeelink EQ13comes with a very compact and sober box, in the upper area we have a relief and in the lower area the air inlet. In the front and in the rear area we have all the connection ports, theUSB-C port is only for data. This mini PC has aninternal DC adapter with 19V 3A (64 W).

• Ports: 3x USB-A 3.2 / 2x USB-C 3.2 / 1x USB 2.0 / 2x HDMI 2.0 / 1x Audio Jack / DC.

The removable bottom cover hasintegrated dust filterand inside we can see the500GBM.2 2280 SATA SSD 2280in a PCIe 3.0×4 slot (too bad it’s not a NVMe SSD). We have anotherPCIe 3.0×1 2242 slot free, as memory a16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz SODIMM RAM DDR4 3200 MHz and for cooling we find avery quiet fan in the lower area.

Environment and user experience

We start theBeelink EQ13 by pressing the power button that illuminates the integrated LED. In a few seconds we arrive at theWindows 11 Pro64 bit desktop activated. As we can see it has the drivers installed correctly and we update it without any problems. The systemmoves fast in desktop use, it is a small computer valid for using multimedia and office apps.

Network, Storage, RAM and Ports

In terms of connectivity, theBeelink EQ13 we find a wirelessWifi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 adapter (Intel AX-101) with good speed and twoGigabit Ethernet ports (Realtek). The SSD is aSATA 3 2280, thislimits its performance. The RAM comes isDDR416 GB RAM 3200 MHz withSingle Channel configuration.

Processor, performance and thermals

In thisBeelink EQ13we have the uncommonIntel N200 (Alder Lake-N) chip manufactured in10 nm (Intel 7) that has four cores and four threads that moves up to 3.7 GHz (the N100 reaches 3.4 GHz). In the graphics section we have anIntel UHD Graphics GPU up to 750 MHz with32 EU (the N100 has 24 EU). This processor has a power consumption of only6 W TDP and hassufficient performance for home use, suitable for use with KODI or IPTV, light editing applications and games without much 3D load.

Beelink EQ13 Benchmarks

We passed performance test with theBeelink EQ13, as we can see in the data is in line with these processors, in general we have about15% more regiment with respect to the Intel N100. The GPU installedIntel UHD Graphics 32 EU as we can see, is limited to run simple games without much 3D load.

We put theBeelink EQ13 to the test and as we can see it offersgood thermal performance, the system keeps temperatures under control with itsveryquietfan at all times. This design withintegrated power supply does not affect the internal thermals.

Gaming

We tested several games with theBeelink EQ13, the results are the usual for this type of GPU integrated into low-power Intel. As we can seeIntel UHD Graphics GPU with32 EU is suitable for games in1080p or 720p quality, it is not suitable for heavy games with a lot of 3D load.

• Setting: Medium quality / 1080p resolution / No VSync /Play emulators with RetroArch.
• On models with integrated Intel HD GPU on low and 720p resolution.

This mini PC we can play titles likeLoLwith a pretty surplus frame rate, in more demanding games likeFornite we no longer have good experience. As foremulators at most we stay in some simpleWii, PS2 and similar titles, we can not with demanding 3D emulators.

In terms of video and audio, theBeelink EQ13 mini PC has an integratedIntel UHD Graphics GPU with VPU support for current codecs such asAV1. There is also support forHDR10 and multi-channel audio up to 7.1. This PC is perfectly valid as a multimedia system to use KODI, IPTV or to use it with PLEX.

Streaming services

Opinion about the Beelink EQ13

As we have found, theBeelink EQ13 is an efficient and compact mini PC and itsIntel N200 processor gives us adequate performance and somewhatsuperior to the N100. As a novelty, this Beelink comes with anintegrated power supply in the box, something quite comfortable and that does not affect the thermals. Undoubtedly it also stands out for itsvery quiet fan, which when in operation is not annoying at all.

Inside theBeelink EQ13 we have storage a500 GB SATA SSD that would have been better if it used a NVMe and16 GB of RAM DDR4 3200 MHz that could be DDR5, but for this processor is not critical either. A computer that will look good on any desk or office table for its design and small size.

The attractiveBeelink EQ13 is aquiet, comfortable and efficient mini PC. Undoubtedly a very valid solution for home and multimedia use, plug and play.
