What we work on now
As part of the Horizon-Zen Plus project, we will publish the first technicalspecifications for the new features for the EU Open Research Repository.They will include the descriptions of the planned functionalities and UI mock-ups.
We will enhance Zenodo's commenting system for submission reviews with several new features:LaTeX equation previews, quote functionality, direct comment replies, local draft autosave,comment collapsing, permalinks, and file attachments.
As part of the AIRDEC project, we will achieve the first milestone whichincludes setting up the initial infrastructure and beginning the developmentof AI-suggested metadata enhancements for research records.
What we plan working on next
We will be improving the search capabilities of Zenodo. This includes bothimproved ranking as well as filters and facets for advanced search capabilities.
Temporarily postponed
As already done for GitHub.com, we will enable the archival of software from GitLab.com repositories.This will allow users to archive and preserve their projects hosted on GitLab.com,ensuring long-term access and availability.
To address increased traffic from AI-harvesters, we will implement infrastructureimprovements to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

The concepts developed for the EU Open Research Repository is being developedand tested now the Biodiversity Literature Repository, which now has a brandedportal onhttp://zenodo.org/communities/biosyslit/
Currently, there's a number of actions that users need to contact ourhelpdesk in order to achieve. This includes for instance record deletions,quota increase requests and other standard support requests. We'll be focusingon improving self-service support which should ensure an improved user experienceand faster replies, as well as reduced load on our supporters (we're currentlyhandling 500-600 requests a month).
