Administration at UCPH

The administration of the University of Copenhagen is organised under the University Administration, comprising three campus administrations, eight group units and the Rector’s Office. In addition, there are local staff teams at department and faculty level.

Campus administrations

The three campus administrations are responsible for the day-to-day support of the academic environments. They have sections with expertise in most administrative areas and administrative employees who act as partners for specific departments. Each campus administration is headed by a campus director, who reports to the university director.

Group units and the Rector’s Office

The eight group units and the Rector’s Office mainly deal with framework-setting and specialised administrative tasks such as ownership of administrative processes and systems. The group units and the Rector’s Office are each headed by a deputy director, who reports to the rector, prorector or university director in different combinations.

  UCPH IT supports the university's researchers, students, and staff with IT and is responsible for coherent and secure digitalization.

Staff teams at faculties and departments

Staff teams are local administrations at department and faculty level where the employees report to the academic managers. Staff teams deal with tasks that are best carried out under local management. They provide secretarial support and project management of academic and organisational projects specific to the individual department or faculty. At the faculties, local staff teams are headed by a head of staff, who reports to the dean, and at departments by a head of administration, who reports to the head of department.
