Description
I tried to uninstall an audio plugin to solve a problem I had with registration, and while trying do a deep clean after, it ended up suggesting I delete a long list of registry keys. Some of them looked legit so I went on with it, but I didn't notice there were MANY more than I expected. It actually deleted so many stuff I couldn't access any audio controllers, many apps that are not even remotely related to the one I uninstalled became inaccessible, even 7zip didn't work properly. It also didn't make a restore point when it said it did. I was using the portable version a lot before, I used the newest version now and it was a complete train wreck, nothing like what I experienced before.
I had a restore point from a Windows update that solved the problem for me, luckily enough, but this was a serious problem that could have made me unable to do my daily job and impact my life seriously for a while. I won't share more info at this point because I don't know if I'm being extremely dumb or didn't read something vital (I think I did) or something so I'll wait to see about that before giving more details, if someone cares enough to help. If this qualifies as just a complaint I'm sorry, I still just want to share a really bad user experience I just had so at least I can understand how this came out so wrong. Thank you.
