As its rollout continues, Samsung has just posted an updated One UI 7 schedule for Galaxy devices, with many more updates coming in June.

Anticipation was high for Samsung’s One UI 7, and even when all of the delays and original issues with the new OS are ignored, it’s still pretty clear that some portions of Samsung’s software are lacking. The Now Bar might be one of Samsung’s biggest disappointments, not because of what it could have been, but because it fell far too short.

The launch of One UI 7 has been a mess. Samsung’s otherwise stellar update was overshadowed in part by the fact that it arrived several months late compared to other Android 15 updates, and then had additional delays on top of that. But I think Samsung made a much bigger mistake in One UI 7 that we’re only seeing now as it rolls out to the masses.

One UI 7 brings a lot of changes to Galaxy devices, and some, which are a matter of preference, seemed to have been changed without the user’s permission. One significant change in Samsung’s One UI 7 is the separation of Quick Settings and the notification panel. Here’s how to change it back.

Samsung resumes One UI 7 rollout for foldables

Following a delay that hit quickly after the initial rollout, Samsung has resumed its One UI 7 rollout for foldables including Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6.

After a last-minute delay, Samsung is now restarting the rollout of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series with an updated build.

Galaxy users can’t exactly seem to catch a break between the delayed One UI 7 launch and now a delayed rollout. After One UI 7 was recently delayed due to a severe bug, Samsung released an updated schedule, pushing some devices out to July.

Android alarms improved greatly when OEMs made customization easier, such as adding a unique tone or scheduling them out. In One UI 7, Samsung now allows users to set specific volumes for each alarm by tweaking the settings.

Following a months-long delay, Samsung started rolling out its One UI 7 update last week, only to pause the update abruptly for no clear reason. In a statement regarding the delay, Samsung still doesn’t offer any clarity, but there is a possible explanation floating around.

After six beta releases and more time in the oven than expected, Samsung has stopped the One UI 7.0 rollout globally.

It’s been expected that Samsung would eventually roll out One UI 7 to the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series, though the “when” was nothing short of in the air. Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 users are starting to see One UI 7 available in the US.

As promised, Samsung has started the rollout of One UI 7 to Galaxy users in the US, starting with the Galaxy S24 series.

The One UI 7 rollout was slated for April 10, and Samsung has made good on that promise with a massive rollout now well underway in Europe.
