The film has beenin development at Sony since November of 2023 and has Wes Ball (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) set to direct. No plot details or casting has yet been announced for the movie, which Derek Connolly reportedly wrote.
The Legend of Zelda is one of the most iconic Nintendo franchises. First launched in 1986, it has led to 19 sequels and several spin-offs. Set in the fantasy world of Hyrule, it centers on an elfish warrior named Link who battles the evil Ganon alongside (and sometimes by rescuing) the Princess Zelda.
