Glory Hunters is an innovative action-adventure RPG designed for the original GameBoy. It introduces a distinctive and original gameplay twist: progression is driven by earning achievements.

Gameplay

InGlory Hunters, achieving in-game milestones earns players "Glory Points," the main currency that opens pathways in the world. With over 600 glorious deeds available—from gathering materials and assisting townsfolk with various quests, to exploring dungeons and defeating diverse enemies—players are rewarded for their endeavors. The game offers freedom to explore different zones, each featuring unique mini-games, adversaries, and humorous characters. Players can use Glory Points to enhance their health, purchase items, or hire companions for their quests. This system allows players to tailor a unique and personal gaming experience by choosing how they allocate their Glory Points.

Objective

The adventure begins at the center of the map, and players must travel to one of the four corners of the world to seek the aid of a god who can prevent a meteorite from devastating the land. The choice of which god to seek is entirely up to the player. Reaching a god typically takes about 5 hours—ideal for anyone who doesn’t want to commit to a lengthy game but still desires a fulfilling experience. However, for those seeking a greater challenge, it is possible to meet all four gods in a single run, unlocking a fifth god and extending gameplay to over 20 hours, catering to hardcore gamers.

Install Instructions:

This game is intended to be played on any Game Boy system using a flashcart or the Analogue Pocket. You can also play it using any Game Boy emulator.

Add the .gb file to a flashcart or open the file using a Game Boy emulator, either from your computer, emulation device, or smartphone. A save file will be created automatically.

If using a Game Boy Color, change the palette (grayscale) by pressing left + B at the same time when the Game Boy Color logo loads up. This will greatly improve your experience (some of the assets won't translate very well to other color modes).
