A foreigner involved in terrorist activities was detained in Bishkek. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

According to it, the man was detained on December 8, 2021. It was established that the detainee was involved in a high-profile terrorist attack in one of the clubs in Istanbul (Turkey), as a result of which 39 citizens from 18 countries were killed. The man was placed in the remand prison of SCNS.

The terrorist attack in Reina Istanbul club took place on the night of January 1, 2017. At least 39 people were killed. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. Abdulgadir Masharipov, who organized the attack, was sentenced to 1,368 years in prison.
