Tranmere have snapped up Birmingham defender Alex Bruce on loan. The 20-year-old - son of Birmingham boss Steve - joins Tranmere on a six-month loan deal.
Bruce spent two loans spells at Oldham and Sheffield Wednesday last season and his performances caught the attention of Tranmere boss Brian Little.
Little is delighted to bring the versatile defender to Prenton Park.
"Alex played against us last season when he was on loan and we were very impressed by him," Little told the club's official website.
"He can play either full back or centre back and has a great pedigree with good strength and ability.
"He is on loan until January which gives us time to have a good look at him with an option to extend the loan to the end of the season."
