The Genealogy and Local History Department of Willard Library looks forward to helping you uncover the past.

Willard Library welcomes genealogy researchers and we encourage you to register for a Willard Library card. Please sign in on a daily basis, using the registration book, and leave all cases and large bags at the Special Collections desk. Please use only pencils, and do not re-shelve items after use.

Family Group Sheet

Unless an item is marked “No Photocopying Allowed” (because of its fragility), items may be copied.

  • 8-1/2″ x 11″ – 15 cents per page
  • 8-1/2″ x 14″ – 15 cents per page
  • 11″ x 17″ – 25 cents per page

Free of charge; one hour or one time per day, whichever is lesser; requires library card; printing is 15 cents per page

Willard Library can borrow from most public libraries, internationally. Patrons may make an interlibrary loan request with a Willard Library card; cost includes postage fees and any fees assessed by the lending library.

The library staff is available to assist you in person, by phone, and by e-mail with your reference questions. In the event we cannot fully answer a reference question, the library staff will refer you to an agency able to provide the requested information. The library staff is unable to provide medical, legal, or tax advice beyond the scope of the Willard Library collection.

This packet is available online for a limited time. You may print as many copies as you need for your children’s use.  It is a great tool for helping your children learn about your family’s history.
