As i understand it, the reason for deletion was that the editor could not find information on the above mentioned band. I find it unsettling that articles can be removed because an editor is unable to properly research a topic. I think any user would find this unacceptable.
This band most definitely existed. They released three cds/lps, were included on several compilations, were featured in national publications, and were together for ten years, touring extensively on North America's eastern seaboard. There were conflicts with a British band of the same name, who were formed AFTER the Canadian band. During the existence of the band's Wikipedia page, there were several instances of malicious edits to the page by an unknown user. These malicious edits included profanity and slander about members of the band. These malicious edits contained spurious information designed to confuse readers and anger the band. This was obviously someone's idea of a troll, intended to provoke a reaction. Was this part of the reason the page was removed?
Can the deleted page be restored? If not, what can i do to ensure that the article will not be deleted again if i choose to repost it?
I know this is minor issue in the grand scheme of things but it is important to the band that page is restored.
