| This page in a nutshell: Theaccount creator user group allows editors to create new accounts without restriction and may be granted to editors active in theaccount request process to allow them to exceed normal account creation restrictions. |

Theaccount creatoruser group (accountcreator user group) grants access to a tool which permits trusted Wikipedia contributors to make a large number of accounts for other people who request them.
Accounts in the account creatoruser group have the technical ability to perform the following actions:
The account creator permission may be granted to users who are active and experienced in therequest an account process (ACC).[note 3] Users active on the ACC project are expected to have been properly and consistently handling account requests on a regular basis for at least a few months, and have been regularly hitting the maximum number of account creations allowed in a 24 hour period (currently six (6) accounts) before requesting the flag, which may be done atWikipedia:Requests for permissions/Account creator.
Administrators do not need to request these permissions; the account creator user group is included in the Administrator toolset. To grant the account creator permissions to another account, administrators should follow the instructions atWikipedia:Requests for permissions/Account creator/Administrator instructions.
The account creator permission is provided to editors active in the ACC process. Users with the account creator right are allowed to use any of the technical abilities included with this user right at their own discretion. The English Wikipedia currently has7 users with the account creator permissions.
This user group was previously granted to individuals involved with off-wiki outreach events to help them create accounts for participants. In May 2018, theevent coordinator user group was created, which allows users to exceed the maximum number of account creations allowed within a 24 hour period, but without any of the other abilities that are granted with the account creator user group. Editors who previously would have been eligible for account creator should instead request theeventcoordinator user group.
