WGRW broadcasts aContemporary Christian music format to the Anniston andGadsden, Alabama, area.[4] The station derives a portion of its programming from theMoody Broadcasting Network and theSalem Radio Network.[5]
Jon Holder, station manager and host ofGrace in the Morning, has been with WGRW since it launched in 1999.[1] Holder had previously worked atWDNG, also in Anniston.[6]
This station's originalconstruction permit was granted by theFederal Communications Commission on September 12, 1996.[7] The new station was assigned the WGRW call letters by the FCC on October 25,1996.[8] On June 25, 1999, WGRW received itslicense to cover from the FCC.[9]
