TheVaiphei people are an ethnic group who live in theNorth-East India state ofManipur,Assam,Mizoram,Nagaland,Meghalaya,Tripura and in theChin State ofMyanmar.[3] They share cultural similarities with other tribes in the region likeMizo,Paite,Thadou,Simte,Hmar,Zou people,Gangte andKom (collectively known as theZo-Mizo people) or Zo.[4]
