HiMignon~enwiki, thanks for chatting with me about your issue at the event! I can't guarantee anything, but after speaking on discord with some other admins and stewards, we seem to think it's possible that a steward would be willing to usurp Mignon for you. I'd recommend taking the following steps:
Open the editing dialogue, ideally in the source editor
Add the following to the end of the section and save. Feel free to add to the reasoning, I'm writing it based on what we talked about:
=== Oldname ==={{SRUC|status = <!--don't change this line-->|domain = global|Oldname = Mignon~enwiki|Newname = Mignon|reason = Requesting to usurp Mignon which is an old account of mine. The SUL finalization renamed this account to Mignon~enwiki. I would like to keep the username Mignon, but I don't have access to that account anymore because there's no email associated with it.--~~~~}}
Just to clear any potential confusion, usurps are always done via Steward requests/Username changes and not GlobalRenameRequest. The latter is meant for straightforward requests where the newly chosen username does not yet exist. Best regards,A09|(talk)11:53, 26 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I have an article that was previously deleted. Now that I understand how to avoid my errors I'd like to resubmit the article using the same title. Is there a way to resubmit a new article under the same title of the deleted one? If not, I can change the title. --C2014Dale (talk)12:38, 2 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
HiC2014Dale, thanks for your interest and perseverance! I foundyour draft and it needs some work before it could be considered. The major problem right now is that there's nothing inside the reference templates. Can you tell me what book or webpage you're using to back up what you're writing? Remember that you should be writing in your own words, and avoid writing something very close to the original source.—Wug·a·po·des08:14, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
This is looking good,C2014Dale! I haven't done a close read yet, but the sources are strong and the individual seems notable. It should be ready to publish as an article soon, but give me a few days to look at it more closely. Thanks for your work on this. I'm excited to see the article grow!—Wug·a·po·des07:11, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
