While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere,Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in anedit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying andlinking to the copied page, e.g.,copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted{{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Wikipedia and copyright

[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Gianluigi02, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) toOperation Ghazi have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence ofpermission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate asmall amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with doublequotation marks (") and cite the source using aninline citation. You can read about this atWikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See alsoHelp:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all informationin your own words and structure, in properparaphrase. Following the source's words too closely can createcopyright problems, so it is not permitted here; seeWikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources toverify information and to demonstrate that the content is notoriginal research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content isWikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to reviewWikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • Ifyou own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, youmay be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. SeeWikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Invery rare cases (that is, for sources that arepublic domain orcompatibly licensed), itmay be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at thehelp desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sourcesmay not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If youdo confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; seeWikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps inWikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must beblocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. sami  talk18:33, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination ofAnthony Cruz (singer)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed onAnthony Cruz (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguouscopyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy fromhttps://www.allmusic.com/artist/anthony-cruz-mn0000580016/biography. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source ofinformation, but not as a source ofsentences. This part is crucial:say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violatorswill beblocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then youmust verify that externally by one of the processes explained atWikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, seeWikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look atWikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a questionhere.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you maycontest the nomination byvisiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hello, Gianluigi02,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether 2018 Ivory Coast floods should be deleted. Your comments are welcome atWikipedia:Articles for deletion/2018 Ivory Coast floods.

Grammatical conventions/rules in Portal:Current events

[edit]

Present-tenses in opening sentences:

  • Ten peoplewere injured in a car crash in Wadiya.☒N
  • Ten peopleare injured in a car crash in Wadiya.checkY

Use words instead of numbers when the number is in the beginning of the sentence:

  • 30 people have gone missing after Hurricane Aladeen makes landfall in Wadiya.☒N
  • Thirty people have gone missing after Hurricane Aladeen makes landfall in Wadiya.checkY

Common exceptions:

  • Describing a past event as the opening sentence will not require present-tenses, but past-tenses.
  • If the number at the beginning of a sentence is exceedingly high (i.e. over 100), attempt to paraphrase it and include it some where else in the sentence so it can be written as its numerical value.

Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (seetechnical help and learn aboutmistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). Speedy deletion nomination ofVittorio Fusari

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to readthe guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using theArticle Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed onVittorio Fusari requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguouscopyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy fromhttp://www.identitagolose.com/sito/en/6/4598/chef/vittorio.html.

Islamic terrorism in Europe

[edit]

Hi! I noticed a number of issues (mostly to do with sourcing andWP:BLPCRIME) withthis edit you made toIslamic terrorism in Europe. To wit:

  • 2020 Villejuif stabbing: Neither the cited source nor the article confirm that this is Islamic terrorism. Judging by the text, it seems like the investigation is ongoing.
  • 2020 Streatham stabbing: That the attacker "expressed Islamic extremist views" is not sufficient for inclusion. We need official sources that call it Islamic terrorism.
  • 2020 Romans-sur-Isère knife attack: When a living person has been charged with terrorist crimes but not (yet) been convicted thereof, referring to them as a terrorist is a seriousWP:BLPCRIME violation as well as potentially libellous. For much the same reason, we can't include the attack on this list; Wikipedia's editors must not do the court's job of determining whether the suspect is guilty and of what, and deciding on our own that this was terrorism would be doing precisely that.
  • With regardes to the attack in Colombes: same thing as above,WP:BLPCRIME.
  • The use ofSputnik (news agency) as a source has beenWP:DEPRECATED by community consensus.
  • 2020 Reading stabbing: SimilarWP:BLPCRIME issues as above, except here the suspect has not even been charged with terrorist crimes but strictly murder and attempted murder. Where are we getting "terrorism" (let alone Islamic terrorism) from?
  • With regards to the attack in Berlin: that somebody "expressed Islamic extremist views" is not sufficient for inclusion. We need official sources that call it Islamic terrorism.
  • You didn't add any source for the attack in Berlin.
  • With regards to the attack in Morges: if it is necessary to qualify it as asuspected jihadist attack, it doesn't belong on the list. The cited source also makes it clear that it is not confirmed whether it is a case of terrorism or not.
  • The only attack withWP:INTEXT attribution (as mandated byMOS:TERRORIST) is theCharlie Hebdo one, but the cited source in that instance does not actually contain this information.

In the interest of avoiding anWP:Edit war, I figured I'd give you a heads up and a chance to fix these issues (rather than me simply removing your additions wholesale).TompaDompa (talk)22:51, 26 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Israeli Palestinian conflict 2021

[edit]

Hey, I’m IsraeliSome of the information isn’t true..9 deaths and 500+ wounded And in Gaza 100 of the deaths were actually terrorists It’s important to mention that Hamas sent 1800 rockets to Israel and 300 lended in Gaza, so Israel didn’t kill innocent children. The IDF tells them to leave they just don’t...The rockets I’m getting on a daily basis are war crimes.! Israel hasn’t done any war crimes.!I’m currently sitting in a bomb shelter, in fear. And yes, it’s not Gaza, it’s Israel. Israel is under attack. And the media is only showing one side and people are stupid enough to believe that.Seagull2000 (talk)14:46, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There are 31 children confirmed dead and that's a fact. People who are dying in Israel are innocent victims too, like all the dozens of civilians that are dying in Palestine.Gianluigi02 (talk)18:39, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What you mean for "9 dead and 500+ wounded"?Gianluigi02 (talk)18:40, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the majority of the media are showing just the israeli side, like if Israel is right. No, you in Israel are not in the right position. 125+ people are dead in Palestine, and the majority are civilians. 31 children, several women civilians, farmers at their farm, people in cars in streets. Civilians are dying, and I report that.Gianluigi02 (talk)20:40, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

IMO, removing material calling it "excessiv" or "not needed" etecetera is just a variation ofWP:IDONTLIKEIT over at theIslamic terrorism in Europe article. What do you think? Kazakh v. Kazakhstani

[edit]

Hi. InDeaths in 2021, you are repeatedly changing Kazakhstani (the broad demonym covering unconfirmed Kazakh ethnics and those who are not of Kazakh descent but still citizens of the country) to read as though the deceased subject,Yevgeni Pupkov, is a known and confirmed ethnic Kazakh. His article, nor multiple sources, say nothing of the kind. If in doubt he has to be Kazakhstani, to cover the broader mix within the populace. Don't remove information unlaterally

[edit]

If there is contradicting information from various sources, don't remove information from one source unilaterally like you did at2021 Kabul airport attack. Instead add it alongside. We don't pick and choose who to trust. I'll be reverting you tomorrow if you don't self-revert.LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:15, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I accidentaly removed the sources. My apologies, it was not intentional.Gianluigi02 (talk)12:17, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You've also inserted wrong information like the people who were killed were inside the vehicle or the death toll was higher because passersby may have been hit in the aftermath of the strike. That's not even in the sources so I edited it and added what the sources actually mean, as it doesn't count as a revert.LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:28, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

1. This is in the CNN source: "Nine members of one family -- including six children -- were killed in a US drone strike targeting a vehicle in a residential neighborhood of Kabul". If it is written in this way, it seems like if they were all in the vehicle.2. Yes, the death toll is suspected to be higher as people near the incident are suspected of being hit too.Gianluigi02 (talk)12:31, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That doesn't mean they were inside the vehicle, besides people can be killed from shrapnel and explosions even if outside. Also where does the source state the people nearby are suspected to be hit?LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:35, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not saying that they were necessarly inside the vehicle, but that is what I understood reading the article.

Where does the source state that other died. Here: "there might have been up to 20 people killed in the strike".Gianluigi02 (talk)12:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is from the same CNN source:One man told a journalist working with CNN who visited the compound that "a rocket hit and six people were in there who have been killed. There was a car inside." The journalist was not allowed to enter the compound.Another man said that he heard the sound of a rocket and gained access to the scene from a neighbor's house."First we managed to remove a 3- to 4-year old child. The fire and smoke had engulfed the whole area," he said.He added that "three people were inside the car" and three others were outside the car. The injured, who included children, were taken to the hospital, he said."

Also it states "there might have been up to 20 people killed in the strike." But where does it claim "passer-bys were impacted"? Please don't put up your own interpertration.LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:40, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

a tip: when you notice incorrect information, do not lecture. I've corrected a lot of wrong informations over the years, but I've never lectured any user. Mistakes and wrong misunderstandings happen to everyone. Change the informations without taking it too long.Gianluigi02 (talk)12:40, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a lecture, it's against the rule to put up unsourced claims. Also I've provided evidence right above contradicting your claims with statements.LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:42, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And again, I just had a wrong misunderstanding of what was writtenGianluigi02 (talk)12:44, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It was in the CNN article itself that witnesses observed there were victims outside the car.LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk)12:45, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, what I can say more? I missed that part, I had a wrong misunderstanding. Now we want to talk about it for another year?Gianluigi02 (talk)12:48, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Don't make a habit of deleting Times of Israel sources and calling Israelis "settlers", especially while also totally removing the attackers' nationality. This is starting to look like a pattern, as indicated by the three messages above me. In particular, previously calling Israeli victims of an attack in Israel "settlers" without a source and deleting the ToI source for that attack, and previously deleting the Hamas data center UNRWA entry as "propaganda" or something, despite it being widespread news. This is a contentious topic and we don't need more contentious edits.JM (talk)19:51, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

the shooting happened in Ma'ale Adumim, an illegal settlment in the West Bank, which is occupied. You removed those informations. Want to talk about that? Or just of what you care?Gianluigi02 (talk)20:16, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I removed irrelevant inforation (that's it's an "illegal settlement", that victims are allegedly "settlers") and restored the original source, which you removed for some reason (the second entry from which you've removed the ToI and replaced it with another, lower-quality source), as well as restored that the attackers were Palestinians, which you removed without removing the fact that the victims were Israelis, in fact you made it more specific, calling them "settlers" (also the second entry you've done that to) and linking to not persons, but settlements.
Neither source, not even the one you added, calls them settlers, but both call the attackers Palestinians. Neither source calls the settlement illegal. That's what matters.
The entry should read, and read when I was done with it, that Israelis were attacked by Palestinians in a terrorist attack, which is the same that we would say in reverse. If there was an entry on an Israeli attack on Palestinians, would you exclude the fact that the attackers are Israeli? When I was done with it, it was the least biased possible blurb. I even compromised and left in your source that you added (which I did previously on another entry as well), as well as your spelling change to the name of the location.
I didn't come here to argue with you, and I don't want to argue with you; I came here to give a dispassionate alert. Which is the fourth you have recieved in ten days.
Hopefully you can agree with my choices there, in light of your own source.JM (talk)20:29, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The sources are reporting that ISIS claimed responsibility. The fact that a terrorist group has claimed responsibility for an attack or any other action it does not automatically mean that they are actually behind it. Remember that ISIS also claimed responsibility for the2017 Las Vegas shooting, which turned out to be a false and opportunistic claim.Gianluigi02 (talk)08:09, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair points but the attacker has claimed to be a ISIS perp let’s countinue the discussion the the actual talk page of the articleJohn Bois (talk)08:11, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The suspect adimitted that he was the perpetrator, not that he is a member of ISIS. And even if he did, it requires further evidence that will be confirmed or refuted over time. Numerous ISIS-inspired lone wolves have carried out attacks in Europe in the past, for which ISIS claimed responsibility. Even in that case it is incorrect to say that ISIS carried out the attacks if it was not aware of their preparation. Lone wolves, although they may refer to an organization or an idea, still operate on their own. And this attack in Germany seems more like the work of a lone wolf.Gianluigi02 (talk)08:22, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You have more experience on Wikipedia so I’m not going to argue with your points but the way the news is saying it seems more then confirmed it was ISIS not to mention they operate in Syria were the attacker is from but I do see this how this can be speculation but I still would like see opinions from other editors
if it is confirmed to even more so can we use my edits?John Bois (talk)08:27, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion ofOperation Hereof

[edit]
Notice

The articleOperation Hereof has beenproposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Mostly unsourced content and pure speculation. Seems more like a promotion campaign for terror orgs.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may bedeleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the{{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in youredit summary or onthe article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing{{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop theproposed deletion process, but otherdeletion processes exist. In particular, thespeedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, andarticles for deletion allows discussion to reachconsensus for deletion.Wikibear47 (talk)15:54, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

...with thepersonal commentary and generally non-constructive behavior at the Current Events portal, as illustrated by various notices above. Between the POV terms used often and unreliable sources used on occasion, it's becoming tedious cleaning it all up.TheKip(contribs)06:01, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

are you serious? These are facts and I added them.Gianluigi02 (talk)08:36, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gianluigi02 The attack itself happening and killing three people is a fact, but referring to itin Wikivoice as a “military aggression” and “murder” is the type of POV commentary we don’t do here and for which you’ve been warned before. The use of unreliable sources such asThe Cradle andlive blogs is also problematic.TheKip(contribs)16:31, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In theWP:ARBPIA topic area, editors are only allowed to make a single revert within a 24 hour period.

You have made around a dozen. Please self-revert all that you can to bring yourself back into compliance, and please be more careful in the future. Your reverts include, but aren't limited to:

  1. 13:33, 8 November 2024
  2. 13:16, 8 November 2024
  3. 13:04, 8 November 2024
  4. 12:24, 8 November 2024

  6. 12:06, 8 November 2024
  7. 11:45, 8 November 2024
  8. 11:46, 8 November 2024

There also appears to be an element ofWP:POVPUSHING here, given how your focus differs significantly from the focus of reliable sources; please also be careful to follow reliable sources in the future when determining which aspects to give the most weight.BilledMammal (talk)13:41, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I added facts which were removed for no reason. Of course I will re-add them, even a hundred of times, as I'm adding relevant facts to the topic.Gianluigi02 (talk)13:47, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'mThe Kip. I noticed that you recentlyremoved content fromPortal:Current events/2024 December 7 without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurateedit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please useyour sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message onmy talk page. I can't find any sources stating that the Iranian government has denied the evacuations, and even putting that aside, a government denial isn't a valid reason to remove an RS-sourced item entirely.TheKip(contribs)17:18, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

History of political motivated editing on profile.

[edit]

Gianluigi02 constantly pushes his political agenda, deleting sources in multiple news articles. Look at his altering of multiple terrorist attacks, the current Gaza War, and it's very noticeable he's pushing his own political views, deleting credible sources too posted by other news sources such as the BBC on the current ceasefire.85.64.190.180 (talk)12:14, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
