OnApple devices, scrollable areas may not be visually apparent in browsers using theWebKit engine (such as browsers oniOS,iPadOS, andmacOS) because scrollbars are hidden except during active scrolling.Android browsers behave similarly, though some briefly show scrollbars on load as an indicator.

To improve discoverability, this companion script and styles add a transparent shadow cue to the bottom of the{{Sticky table start}} scrollable areas to indicate vertically scrollable. The shadow disappears when scrolled to the bottom, ensuring it does not interfere with readability. This solution works on WebKit browsers and the default mobile skin,Minerva skin.

This functionality is implemented separately from the template becauseJavaScript is required, which templates cannot include.
