TheTetramelaceae are a family ofplants in the orderCucurbitales, containing two genera of mostly Asian, large trees,Octomeles andTetrameles, each with a single species.[2] These genera were formerly placed in theDatiscaceae,[3] but genetic studies confirmed that they do not form a natural clade with the other members of that family.[4]
