Tete virus is abunyavirus found originally inTete Province, Mozambique. It is a disease of animals and humans. Two forms, Bahig and Matruh viruses, were isolated from birdticks includingHyalomma marginatum, but elsewheremosquitoes andbiting midges have been implicated as vectors.[2][3][4]
