Teratodes monticollis is thetype species ofgrasshoppers in the genusTeratodes (subfamilyTeratodinae) and is found in India, theLaccadive Islands and Sri Lanka.[1] It was described by theEnglishzoologistGeorge Robert Gray in 1832 asGryllus monticollis.[2]
