Uh, a bunch of these are just motorway translated into other languages. --SPUI (T -C)18:47, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I created the stubChannelization (roads) a while back; could this go here, or would it be better included in an article already linked?Mapsax (talk)20:17, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I propose on deletingTemplate:Road types so we include more on topics on transportation, urban / city development...etc. Its a better way of organization. --75.154.186.241 (talk)18:20, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Route number seems to be appropriate to add, but where?Mapsax (talk)14:00, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have cleaned up, reorganized, and expanded the template. The template's purpose is to provide an overview of all Wikipedia articles related to the subject, and to allow quick navigation among them. Another purpose is to make it easier to see all the road-related articles, so that they can be reorganized, coordinated, and improved. As you review the articles, you may notice that some of them partially overlap or appear to be redundant (for example,Lane andTraffic lanes). Part of the purpose of this template is to reveal these overlaps (and also gaps in coverage). Do not remove apparently-redundant articles from this template. Instead, tag the articles themselves for merge or deletion, as appropriate. Only after the changes are complete should you remove the now-obsolete articles from the template.Reify-tech (talk)13:31, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Um, please clarify why exactly a road train is listed as a "Hazard"? I would regard them as a type of vehicle, and, if you are going to include them you might as well include cars, buses, bycicles, pedestrians, trucks and trailers in the list too. The only hazard I can think of specific to road trains is the difficulty overtaking them.— Precedingunsigned comment added by106.68.47.197 (talk)08:38, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I added avalanche to the road and environment as roads often cross avalanche runs such asUS 6 inClear Creek County inColorado. Avalanches frequently run and obstruct roads and highways causing delays, detours, and--if a car is unfortunately in the path of the run--death. In winter, highways that cross the runs are shut down while crews conduct avalanche control. These are all very real factors to consider for roads and safety. --Srwalden (talk)01:42, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
