This template is used onapproximately 8,800 pages and changes may be widely noticed. Test changes in the template's/sandbox or/testcases subpages, or in your ownuser subpage. Consider discussing changes on thetalk page before implementing them.

This inline tag is used to indicate that a small portion of an article (usually a sentence or paragraph) is in need of an update.

This template will addmainspace articles toCategory:Wikipedia articles in need of updating orCategory:Articles containing potentially dated statements if the? param is specified. Categories are not populated for pages in othernamespaces.
