Grand Baie is the correct spelling, as can be seen in 'What links here' and official sources (site:govmu.org). Occasionally, Grand Bay is used, but the hyphenated version is incorrect.ZoschH (talk)05:27, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just saw (after the move) that there is "Authority control" at the bottom of the page. Sorry about that. So the question is: Do the Mauritians (official language of Mauritius is English) have the right to call their town "Grand Baie" or must they follow the US and Israeli authorities and change the name to "Grand-Baie"?ZoschH (talk)05:58, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
