Sebonack Golf Club is a privategolf course inSouthampton, New York, located on theGreat Peconic Bay onLong Island. Opened in 2006, the course was designed byJack Nicklaus andTom Doak and is adjacent to theNational Golf Links of America andShinnecock Hills Golf Club. The Clubhouse and guest cottages were designed by Hart Howerton.[5]
When it opened, Sebonack was noted as one of the priciest private clubs, with membership starting at half a million dollars.[6] It is owned by Michael Pascucci.[1][2]
Sebonack was the host of the2013 U.S. Women's Open, the first time the championship had been played on Long Island and the first in the greaterNew York City area since1987.[7]
