Scott O'Neil is an American sports executive who is the CEO ofLIV Golf.[1]
O'Neil began his career in sports management with roles at theNew Jersey Nets andPhiladelphia Eagles.[2]
From 2008 to 2012, O'Neil served as President ofMadison Square Garden Sports, overseeing the operations of theNew York Knicks andNew York Rangers.[2] In 2013, he became the CEO of thePhiladelphia 76ers, and later, he managed both the 76ers and theNew Jersey Devils as the CEO ofHarris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.[3]
In late 2022, O'Neil was appointed CEO ofMerlin Entertainments.[4]
Reports in late 2024 indicated that O'Neil would replaceGreg Norman as CEO of LIV Golf.[5] He officially assumed the role on January 15, 2025.[6]
