Robert Jobson (born 23 March 1964) is a British journalist, author and broadcaster.

Jobson, who has been royal editor ofThe Sun,Daily Express,News of the World andLondon Standard, is the royal editor for the Australian breakfast showSunrise on Channel 7 as well as royal contributor forGood Morning America on US networkABC. He was "Royal Consultant" forMark Schwahn's originally scripted seriesThe Royals forE! starring British actressesElizabeth Hurley and DameJoan Collins and played cameo roles as himself in series 1, 2, 3 and 4.[citation needed][1][2]

A Freeman of theWorshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, he was the recipient of theLondon Press ClubScoop of the Year award in 2005 for his world exclusive in theEvening Standard about the engagement ofPrince Charles andCamilla Parker Bowles.[3][4]

He has written several books on theBritish royal family, including the Number OneSunday Times bestseller andNew York Times bestsellerCatherine, the Princess of Wales: The Biography published in August 2024, andOur King: Charles III: The Man and The Monarch Revealed published April 2023. He also co-authored the 2002 international bestsellerDiana: Closely Guarded Secret withDiana, Princess of Wales'sScotland Yard personal protection officer Inspector Ken Wharfe. He and Wharfe also wroteGuarding Diana (2017).

Among Jobson's other notable books areCharles at Seventy: Thoughts, Hopes and Dreams,[5]The Royal Family Operations Manual,Prince Philip's Century 1921-2021: The Extraordinary Life of the Duke of Edinburgh, andWilliam at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch.[6] Jobson also co-wroteBulletproof, the life story ofRoyal MarinesCommando andGeorge Cross recipientMatthew Croucher.
