Pseudoklossia is agenus in thephylumApicomplexa. Species in this genus infect marinemolluscs, although one species (Pseudoklossia microcosmi) infects in anascidian worm. The life cycle isheteroxenous (requires at least two hosts).
The species infecting molluscs tend to infect the renal tissue.
This genus was created by Leger and Duboscq in 1915.[2]
The type species isPseudoklossia glomerata.
Theoocysts have numeroussporocysts. Each sporocyst generally has 2sporozoites.
