Poet Laureate of Alaska

Thepoet laureate of Alaska also known asAlaska state writer laureate is thepoet laureate for theU.S. state ofAlaska. The first Alaska poet laureate, Margaret Mielke, was appointed in 1963.[1] The program expanded to include other kinds of writers in 1996.[1]

Richard Dauenhauer was poet laureate in 1981.
