The paper has five editorial staff including a full-time photographer and sport editor. The paper is edited by Simon Fernley, who was, prior to joining the Voice, sub-editor at theCornish Guardian.
TheNewquay Voice has a sister newspaper, theSt. Austell Voice, launched in 2006, that coversSt Austell, the Clay Country fromFraddon toSt Stephen-in-Brannel and the coast fromFowey toMevagissey.
The papers provide a locally-owned and focussed alternative to large regional titles. TheVoice titles were the first in the area to go full colour and have not centralised production; the team responsible for each edition is based in central offices in their respective towns. Both titles are printed by the Newbury News.
