Millennium Luxury Coaches is a luxury motor coach manufacturer based inSanford, Florida, founded in 2000 by Nelson Figueroa.
The founder had a passion for electronics and had a lifestyle of taking apart and reassembling gadgets. Figueroa joined theUS Army as a member of theNight Stalkers 160th Special Operations Aviation Unit. With his military experiences, Figueroa maintained notable yachts likeThe Viper, and developed the electrical system for the first Vantare luxury coach. The founder of Vantare, Mike Guth, met Figueroa and together have made significant advances for the luxury coach industry by founding Millennium Luxury Coaches.[1]
In January 2011, Millennium was a recipient of the inaugural 2011 Florida Companies to Watch Award,[2] selected by theEdward Lowe Foundation.[3]
In July 2012, Millennium gained approval to be added toTransport Canada's List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States, after confirming compliance with all applicableCanadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS), and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Act (MVSA).
In May 2013, Millennium received the Association for Corporate Growth's (ACG) SMART Award for the field of Distribution and Transportation.[4]
In August 2013, Millennium was awarded the Ultimate Newcomer title, as part of the 2013 Golden 100 Awards.[5]
In January 2012, Millennium was selected to be featured in the TV showUltimate Travel for their "Tricked Out Trailers" episode, appearing on theTravel Channel.
In April 2011, Millennium was featured onHouseSmarts TV[6] withLou Manfredini.
On October 4, 2012, it was announced that Millennium Luxury Coaches was to be featured for an upcoming series titledEPIC which was to air onDestination America.EPIC RVs premiered on February 11, 2013. On July 15, 2013, Millennium Luxury Coaches was to be featured on the season 2 premiere ofEPIC, on Discovery's Destination America Network.[7]
Millennium Luxury Coaches has also made radio appearances and industry-related appearances. These events include theTampa RV Supershow, Concours d'Elegance, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Cars for the Cure, Barrett Jackson Auto Auction, and RV shows.
In January 2013, Millennium Luxury Coaches announced a new video series entitledThe Journey with episode 1, "The Journey Begins". Millennium planned for more episodes in the following months, showcasing the luxury coach building process.[8]
Millennium has been featured on the June cover ofFamily Motor Coach Association Magazine.[9]
