    Spam blacklists

The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the MediawikiSpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta'sblacklist and the localspam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at thebottom of the page.Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at/Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out thehttp:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in.com or similar with nothing after the/ character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section ofMediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Donot request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (seeWP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you willnot be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through thesubscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests arearchived, additions and removal arelogged. →snippet forlogging: {{/request|1327694568#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

    Proposed additions

    [edit]

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline onreliability, please ask for opinions on theReliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline onexternal links, please get confirmation on theExternal links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

Add new entries at thebottom of thispage. Completed requests will be marked with an appropriateIndicator thenarchived.
    Instructions to requesters:
    1. Explainwhy the site should be whitelisted.
    2. Explainwhich articles would benefit from the addition of the link.
    3. Provide thespecific link to the page you're requesting be added.
      • Please use the basic URL so that there is no link (www.google.ca, nothttp://www.google.ca). Preferably put the link in a{{WLRequestLink}}-template, like {{WLRequestLink|google.ca}}
      • Please add a{{LinkSummary|example.org}} (replace example.org with thedomain your specific url resides on, and remove the 'www.' part, and everything following the domain-name). This inserts a set of links that helps in finding relevant information and related discussion on the requested site.

If the above information is not provided, expect your request to be declined.

PLEASE ADD NEW ENTRIES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST

Review hosted on an XYZ domain

    [edit]
    • {{LinkSummary|log.fakewhale.xyz}}
    • {{WLRequestLink|log.fakewhale.xyz/exploring-collective-identity-a-philosophical-journey-with-meriem-bennanis-for-my-best-family/}} (November 29, 2024)

Outtake from the Reception section ofBouchra(draft) at AFC, from September 25. From what I've assumed, Fakewhale is an otherwise legit art site (albeit with an occasional aside on the NFT movement).

In case any on board here are asking/wondering,Bouchra is an adult computer-animated film with animal characters, touted as Morocco's first animated feature.Bouchra entered the festival circuit this month; this review dates from the time it was originally screened under the titleFor Aicha at a Milan art facility. --Slgrandson(How's myegg-throwing coleslaw?)19:27, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Slgrandson please notify us when/if the draft is accepted. No use to whitelist a link for something that never ends up in mainspace. (and then, per your comment, I would consider to whitelist the whole domain).Dirk BeetstraTC05:44, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Pending: Giving ourselves up to two more weeks' wait per current AFC-queue outlook (so that we don't lose this thread to the archive in a matter of days). --Slgrandson(How's myegg-throwing coleslaw?)00:48, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
NowApproved at AFC thanks to @LuniZunie! (As a bonus, whitelist liminul.xyz/meriem-bennani-life-on-the-caps/ for verification of festival appearances of an earlier Bennani work.)

    sunrisetechs.com/react-native-architecture-performance

    [edit]
    1. I want to include this link in theReact Native article.
    2. The article will benefit because this URL explains React Native’s newer architecture (Fabric + Hermes) neutrally and technically.
    3. This is the only URL I am requesting.

    I have a COI because I am associated with the site, so I am submitting transparently.Sam K Annavi (talk)06:09, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Sam K Annavi:no Declined. The page is aself-published source, which would not be appropriate for the article. Additionally, this request is an instance ofself-promotion. — Newslinger talk17:36, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    healthline.com/about/about-us

    [edit]

I want to include this link on theHealthline article. It serves as a self-admitted source that Healthline.com uses AI to help generate articles. The other available sources I can find state that the parent companyRed Ventures uses AI generated articles, but do not enumerate this website specifically.Masebrock (talk)01:27, 19 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    sci-hub

    [edit]

for use onsci-hub. site was redesigned and subpages, including the /about links current on the article, were removed. should be replaced with the working (and only) homepage links.ltbdl (talk)06:08, 24 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ltbdl, due to how the spam whitelist works, we are unable to whitelist the root domain without whitelisting every single page under that domain. However, after a quick guess, I found that the/index path also leads to the home page, so I will change the spam whitelist filter entry for Sci-Hub from\bsci-hub\.\w+/about\b to\bsci-hub\.\w+/index\b. — Newslinger talk16:51, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    Susquehanna Poll

    [edit]

Used inJanuary–August 2016 statewide opinion polling for the 2016 United States presidential election. The article link has already beenWP:DEADLINK repaired. According to theWP:DEADLINK guidance, the original link still belongs in the citation template, so this will continue to be a problem until it is whitelisted. The source itself seems to be a reliable political poll result page, not available anywhere else as far as I can see.Ilvekset (talk)13:19, 5 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    • TheGravityLight page contained this URL until October 2025, when it was mangled by a nonsense edit[1]. I tried to simply undo the edit, but the reversion was blocked by the spam check.
    • The link goes to a crowdfunding page for the product that is the topic of the page. The campaign ended nearly a decade ago, so it's purpose is purely historical, to provide context about the design of the product and its public reception.
    • This isn't the only indiegogo.com url in the page, but I assume it's the one that is triggering the check. Just in case, this url maybe also needs to be whitelisted in order to save the page?

    UpgradedPoints.com

    [edit]
    • This webpage is the best (and possibly only) one available to source the fact that theAruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino (where the website will be used) is located along the northwestern coast ofAruba. In addition to verifying this fact, the page can be very useful to readers, especially for those who intend to stay at the resort. As I can see, the domainwas blacklisted due to the actions of auser which were committed more than eight years ago. The user's last edit was done on August 2022, more than three years ago. I am not affiliated with that user whatsoever.
@Uricoh:no Declined, this is not the best or only source for the information, it is already in the geohack coordinates where you can see it, or in the official website of the hotel. Advertising or informing for readers who may want to stay there is not the function of a (or this) reference, and also that is already in the hotel own page or could/should be incorporated.
This wasonly 8 years ago, with the sockmaster being here still a mere 3 years ago (and you don't know if they did not start fresh on a new sock). I have just declined a case where the (self-declared) site owners were here trying to delist their useless websites after 17 years. Also note thatUpgraded Points was just deleted as 'unambiguous advertising' about 2 years ago. --Dirk BeetstraTC09:00, 9 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

specific link aboutJoe Keery on famousbirthdays.com

    [edit]

In an interview byElle (magazine) on November 26, 2025,[2] Keery said Wikipedia listed him from Costa Rica and the birthday April 24, 2025 were wrong (at the time on Stranger Things first set, around 2016). Contrarily, from his Wikipedia page's revision history never listed him from Costa Rica, but the birthday was indeed April 24, 2025, due to from theFamous Birthdays source at the time.[3]. The source then got deleted cause the website got blacklisted, and now the ref source for this is fromAP News in 2023,[4] which is probably got it from iMDb or other media outlets.[5][6] Keery refused to say the correct date in the interview. So, if the interview be consideredWP:PRIMARY, cause Keery may just joking (considering Keery also said using the birthday date as passwords), the main secondary source for the date now is from the AP News source.

Therefore, requesting the Famous Birthdays link (and the archived link) about Joe Keery to be whitelisted on the article for timeline/historical purpose, as the oldest known source for the birthday date (and Costa Rica thing), that leading to current AP News source.EdhyRa (talk)10:11, 11 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Heritage Foundation source for Index of Economic Freedom

    [edit]
    • The Wikipedia page "List of freedom indices" athttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_freedom_indices has a table of 4 indices, including the Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom. At the moment, the listed URL for its "2025" scores goes to a 1998 archive page selling the hardcopy of the list; but heritage.org is blacklisted (the Deprecated sources page says this was because of Heritage plans to doxx Wikipedia editors, but does suggest whitelisting certain pages may be OK), so this cannot be updated. Editors have nevertheless put in the 2025 scores. The Wikipedia article notes the indices are "according to their own various definitions of the term". If the index numbers are thought worth displaying on Wikipedia, then a link to the source (which will make finding an up-to-date version in 2026 easier) seems worth having too. If heritage.org is so bad that nothing from it can be linked to, then surely the entire index should be ignored as well?
