Marduk-zâkir-šumi II was aBabylonian nobleman who served briefly asKing of Babylon for a few months in 703 BC, following a revolt against the rule of theAssyrian kingSennacherib. He was soon overthrown and replaced by the formerChaldean king,Marduk-apla-iddina II.[1] He was the son of Arad-Ea (or Arad-Enlil).[1]
