Plutonic intrusive igneous rock, that is essentially a hypersthene-bearing monzonite

Mangerite is aplutonicintrusiveigneous rock, that is essentially ahypersthene-bearingmonzonite. It often occurs in association withnorite,anorthosite,charnockite andrapakivi granite inProterozoicmetamorphic belts. It is characterised by the presence ofmesoperthite. It was named forManger, Norway, byCarl Fredrik Kolderup in 1903.[1]
