Lyonia fruticosa, thepoor-grub orcoastal plain staggerbush, is a plant species native to theUS states ofFlorida, southernGeorgia and the extreme southern part ofSouth Carolina. It grows in pine woodlands and shrub bogs at elevations less than 100 meters (333 feet).[3][4]
Lyonia fruticosa is anevergreen shrub up to 3 m (10 feet) tall.Leaves are broadly elliptical, up to 6 cm (2.4 inches) long. Its flowers are white, urn-shaped, hanging downward. The fruit is a dry, egg-shapedcapsule about 4 mm (0.16 in) in diameter.[3][5][6][7][8][9][10]
