José Roberto Lages Guimarães (Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation:[ʒoˈzɛʁoˈbɛʁtuˈlaɡizɡimaˈɾɐ̃js]; born 31 July 1954), known asZé Roberto, is a Brazilian formervolleyball player and current coach. He currently coachesGrêmio Recreativo Barueri. He played volleyball between years 1967–1988 as a professional player and has coached since 1988. He first coached Brazilian women team Eletropaulo. He competed in themen's tournament at the1976 Summer Olympics.[1]
He coachedBrazil Men between 1992–96 and has coachedBrazil Women since 2003. He wonBarcelona 1992 withBrazil Men and wonBeijing 2008 andLondon 2012 withBrazil Women.
He coached the women's team in the2020 Summer Olympics,[2] winning a silver medal.
