Jeanne Kalogridis (pronouncedJean Kal-o-GREED-us), also known by the pseudonymJ.M. Dillard (born 1954), is an American writer of historical, science and horror fiction.
She was born inFlorida and studied at theUniversity of South Florida, earning first a BA inRussian and then an MA inLinguistics. After college she taught English as a foreign language at theAmerican University inWashington, D.C., before moving to the West Coast.
