Jean Kellens (born 26 January 1944 in Seraing, Belgium) is aBelgian Iranologist who specialises inAvestan studies. From 1974 to 1980 he was the assistant of German Professor and Iranologist,Helmut Humbach atJohannes GutenbergUniversity of Mainz. He also taught at theUniversity of Liège until 1993 and then became a member of the Science Committee at theCollège de France.
