TheHinggan League[a] is aprefecture-levelsubdivision of theInner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China. It bordersHulun Buir to the north, theRepublic of Mongolia andXilingol League to the west,Tongliao to the south and the provinces ofJilin andHeilongjiang to the east. The name is derived from theGreater Khingan mountain range that crosses the league from the northwest to the southeast.
