Gaizhou (simplified Chinese:盖州;traditional Chinese:蓋州;pinyin:Gàizhōu), formerlyGaixian,Gaiping, andKaiping, is acounty-level city inLiaoning province, China. It is under the administration ofYingkou City, which lies 31 km (19 mi) to the north-northwest, and is located at the northwest end of theLiaodong Peninsula near the northeast coast of theBohai Sea.
There are sixsubdistricts, 18towns, and threetownships under the city's administration.[3]
