"Future People" is a song performed by American rock bandAlabama Shakes, issued as the thirdsingle from the band's second studio albumSound & Color. Co-produced by the band and co-written by lead singerBrittany Howard,[4][3] the song has reached #37 on theBillboardrock chart.[5]

Critical reception

"Future People" has received positive reviews from critics. Alicia Kort ofMusic Times complimented lead singerBrittany Howard'sfalsetto on the track and used it as an example on howthe parent album blended different styles via the music.[1]Kitty Empire ofThe Observer echoed this opinion while also complimenting the song's "sultry soul-rock groove".[6]

Music video

The music video for "Future People" was released on August 10, 2015. Directed by Danny Clinch, the video shows the band performing the song live atCapitol Studio A inHollywood.[7] Alternatively, a video featuring the song'saudio became available in March 2015.[8]
