Foidolite (/ˈfɔɪdəlt/) is a rarephaneritic (coarse-grained)intrusiveigneous rock in which more than 60% (by volume) of light-coloured minerals arefeldspathoids.[1] Crystals ofalkali feldspar, plagioclase, biotite, amphibole, pyroxene, and/orolivine may be present within the rock. Thevolcanic equivalents are termedfoidite andphonolitic or tephritic foidites.

Some foidolites are a potential source ofaluminium.
