Euthydemus of Chios (Latin:Euthydemus, Greek: Εὐθύδημος) alsoEuthydemos was aGreeksophist born inChios, who emigrated with his brotherDionysodorus toThurii inItaly. When exiled from this city, he went toAthens where he lived for many years. Euthydemus was an older contemporary ofSocrates.Plato depicts him and his brother in theEuthydemus dialogue, and he is further referenced byAristotle.[1]
