TheEast Branch of the Saco River is a 13.2-mile-long (21.2 km)[1]river in theWhite Mountains ofNew Hampshire in theUnited States. It is atributary of theSaco River, which flows to theAtlantic Ocean inMaine.
The East Branch rises near the northern boundary ofJackson, New Hampshire, in an area just south of theWild River, east ofBlack Mountain Ski Area, and southwest of theBaldface mountains. The river flows south through theWhite Mountain National Forest in an area that is devoted more to logging than other portions of the forest. Leaving the forest, the river enters the town ofBartlett, reaching the Saco River at Lower Bartlett village, just downstream of theEllis River confluence with the Saco.
