Dimal (Albanian:Dimali, before April 2021:Ura Vajgurore)[1] is amunicipality inBerat County, central Albania. It was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalitiesCukalat,Kutalli,Poshnjë andDimal, that became municipal units. The seat of the municipality is the town Ura Vajgurore.[2] The total population is 27,295 (2011 census),[3] in a total area of 156.65 km2.[4]
The municipality is named after the ancientIllyrian city ofDimale, a toponym which means "two mountains" inAlbanian.
