David M. Edelstein is an Americanpolitical scientist andinternational relations scholar. He is currently vice provost for education atGeorgetown University.[1][2][3]

Education

Edelstein holds aB.A. fromColgate University and aM.A. andPh.D. from theUniversity of Chicago.[4]

Academic career

Edelstein joined Georgetown's faculty in 2002, with dual appointments in theWalsh School of Foreign Service andCollege of Arts & Sciences.[1] He was appointed vice provost for education in May 2023 and the next dean ofGeorgetown's College of Arts & Sciences in February 2025, succeeding Rosario Ceballo, effective July 1, 2025.[5][6]
