Compute Node Linux (CNL) is aruntime environment based on theLinux kernel for theCray XT3,Cray XT4,Cray XT5,Cray XT6,Cray XE6 andCray XK6supercomputer systems based onSUSE Linux Enterprise Server.[1][2] CNL forms part of theCray Linux Environment. As of November 2011[update] systems running CNL were ranked 3rd, 6th and 8th amongthe fastest supercomputers in the world.[3]
