Acoal baron is a term colloquially used to describe anentrepreneur who possesses great power or influence through the possession and operation ofcoal mines. The phenomena exists inNorth America,South America,Europe,Africa,Asia, andAustralia. Coal barons reached their peak influence between the 1880s and the 1950s.[1][2][3]
