Images with watermarks

This category is part of theGraphics Lab which helps improve all graphical content stored onWikimedia Commons and the English Wikipedia.

Captions should be removed as losslessly as possible. Cropping is generally best and most efficient when the caption is located at the top or bottom of a picture, but in some cases cloning is necessary to maintain parts of the image. This should still not be done unless the text is within the image itself and not located on a border or along an edge.

If cropping a JPEG, consider using a lossless cropping tool such asjpegtran

Caution: Before removing a watermark from a copyrighted image, please readthe WMF's analysis of the legal ramifications of doing so.
